Alaska Sea Life Center


Just got back from a trip to the Alaska Sea Life Center!! What an awesome place! I wish I had taken more pics!

The AKSLC was set up with funding from the Exxon Valdez oil spill, check em out at www.alaskasealife.org

"The Alaska SeaLife Center is a non-profit marine science facility dedicated to understanding and maintaining the integrity of the marine ecosystem of Alaska through research, rehabilitation and public education."

I spent way more time gawkin' than taking pictures.

This basket-star was HUGE! its central disc was about frisbee size!

This sea cucumber was probley 3 1/2 feet long.

Have to have at least one pic of the sealion. aaaaawsome!

For my last pic I leave you with a GIANT SQUID!! eeeewwww!

Thanks, I could spend days takin pics there! I should have took some pics of the tidepool/petting zoo...... I couldnt believe all the cool inverts all livin in 40 degree water. You couldnt feel the anenome stings cause your hand is numb ha ha ha!
