Agranite arch question

I purchased some arches from a friend that he made about 8 months ago he said they were rdy to go in a tank. They were in a tank that he cures rock in up until about 2 weeks ago should i put them in my tank or cure them for a few weeks. He said all the portland cement was out. I just need to know if I should drop them in my tank or cure them for a few weeks or days

If they've been in the cure tank that long they should be OK, I would soak one in SW overnite and do a pH test, if its not high you're good to go. IME homemade base rock of any size takes about 3 months to leach out excess calcium hydroxide rather then a couple weeks as suggested in some articles on making homemade live rock
