AGA MegaFlow tank - return tubes on outside???

When my 125 gallon AGA tank was set up. The drilled holes for the drain pipes are located on the inside and the return tube holes are outboard. This conflicts with me pointing the return jets behind the rock wall and/or criss-crossing my flow. My jets are pointed outboard now, as I followed their parameters. Is this just poor design considerations????

yup that is how the manu. did it alright.
one option you can do is get more of the tubing and direct it towards the back of the tank.
or you can leave it as is, and add a CLS to the whole system. this will give you a complete flow for everything, also keep the tank moving if youhave to turn of the main tank or work on the sump.
