After moving i have major cyno problem HELP
My tank has been established for three years in the same location. I have been in the hobby for 14 years now. I recently built a house and had to move the tank back in december. The tank was fine for about two months. But then all of a sudden the cyno whent nuts it is now covering evrything in the tank. I have tried agressive skimming, water changes, new bulbs (they were a year old anyway). I anly feed once a week.
Any feedback would be helpfull.
Thanks Ace

I had the same problem. Add chemi-clean. Only kills the cyano according to LFS. Worked great for me!

chemiclean will knock it out, and it is reef safe. The question then becomes, how do you keep it from returning.

I have heard of red slime remover but i have never had to put any chemicals in the tank. the usualy work themselves out. But as a last resort i will use chemicals.

cyano could have been due to the move. I would try chemiclean and then see if it comes back. Mine hasn't come back yet and it's been 2 weeks...
