Additive Advice


In a typical reeftank,mostly softies and fish, one or two hards. What more than Calcium, Iodine and General Reef additive like Reef Solution should be added ??

actually if you have very little stonies then i would not add anything regularly. i would just rely on water changes. they are cheaper and you will not run into additive poisoning. just do weekly water changes and you should be fine. do not add anything to your system that you do not have a test kit for.

i only add Ca and alk. to my stoney system and nothing to our softy system. the rest is kept in check with just water changes.

I strongly agree, don't add anything you aren't testing for. Just use water changes to replenish your trace elements.
