adding a frag nano tank to my system..over flow???


is there a way to do an overflow without drilling the tank??? Just curious!

yep, there are several hob overflows available cpr, tunze, etc..

These, but you'll have to be very careful as you'll have two overflows going to two separates tanks....how does each overflow know how much is to go with that overflow. So you may get one that overlfow is say 350gph is going into that overflow....while the pump may only be returning 325gph.

may be better to come off you sump to frag tank and return the water from the frag tank to the sump???

Ya, that's how I did it, one commen sump for both tanks, works great!

but you still have to overflow back to the sump?

Sorry should mean overflow the frag tank to the sump....return pump from sump to frag tank!

The main and frag tanks share the same sump!

thats how Im gonna do it...here is the overflow off the back of the 24 nano.....Im gonna flow off it to the sump & from the sump to the frag tank...

I woud definitally get the aqualifter pump BTW, it is worth it, without that you are asking for a flood.

If the pump quits, and the syphon breaks then you are done, but that is 2 things that have to fail, not just one.

I would say drilling is by far the best idea. Contact the MFG to find out if it is tempered.
