ABS vs PVC for DIY skimmer?

I went past our local Lowes and HD today in search of 4" PVC to make a skimmer. The only pipe and fittings they have in 4" ABS. They have PVC up to 2"

Can I use the ABS ? It won't be under pressure or heat
