a sohol with a sailfin?
Wonder If these will be compatable with each other? The LFS said a guy has an extra large he wants to trade in?

What all tangs do you have now....Yellow, and sohol only?

I'd skip on the sailfin then.....as all the tangs will probably pick on the sailfin....If you were adding a yellow, and a sailfin, and a sohol all at the same time I'd say OK....plus the tangs you have are BIG!

You definitly don't need another tang!
That is a lot of FISH and Poo in your tank!

IMO in a 300 gal tank you will be fine... If you have enough LR for everyone to have a home I see no issues. JMO

just want to chime in that I agree with 110.
Sohol's are one of the most aggressive Tang's. Add to that that he's the one already established....and regardless of the size of your tank, I think the new guy would be "fresh meat" so to speak.
Unless you rearrange the tank right as you add him, think you'll run into problems there.
And I'm not sure what skimmer you have...but unless it's a higher end one, I also agree you might be pushing the bio-load on that tank (or will in the future). Tangs grow to be rather large. Even if it's not pushing the limit now...it will soon!
At least you already have the Sohol (my FAVORITE fish ever). pics...pics!!!

I have a 7-8" sailfin and bought a sohol about the same. Unfortunately the Sailfin beat him up and the sohol died. I was bummer. I could not get the sohal out in time

Yeah, I wish. I love tangs, but artificial aquariums are just too small for a bunch. Unless you have a monster one
