I try to make it back to the States at least once or twice a year, but I doubt that I'll ever live there again. Life here is just too sweet!
Indeed, I've only found a few drawbacks to living in Germany. 1)We have to fly at least 4 hours to reach the nearest reef
, 2) other than a few specialists who have frequent contact with the States, the
marine aquarium scene hasn't advanced beyond the "Berlin" system
(with a name like that, go figure), and 3) because of 1&2, LFS's think you must be decended from royalty and are obviously a victim of inbreeding who can't possibly think for yourself and therefore, you can afford their ridiculous prices and should be grateful for the pitiful selection.
Still miss it?
If you ever do make it back over for a visit, let me know. Because of 1,2&3, we still drink a LOT of beer!
