I can't help you on the state at all, but being off topic is part of what makes this board great. I have moved a few times and everythime is is a bit tramatic. HTH

Good fishing, good place to get (the) crabs, but the diving is terrible. close to lots of LFS for marine stuff, and the Baltimore Aquarium is there. Oh yeah, Baltimore is there, too...

Horge,
Bubba & Leroy, our resident travel agents, advise: "That's too fer and snaky! Besides thar's a lot of water to go across". They recommend spending more time in the South where there's only homegrown pollen!

Good old MD!
Hey Jeff-
I lived in MD for 14 years. Can't tell you too much about living the real life there, as far as jobs and housing. Although, I traveled the state a ton with my family. The beaches are great if you know where to go. We used to go camping every year to Chincateague(sp?). Every summer we would watch the wild ponies cross from one island to the other. Fishing and crabing were fun. Blue crabs... mmmmm! Nothing beats a fried soft shell crab sandwich.
Which area of MD are you looking to move to? We lived in Rockville, just outside of DC. Nice area, lots of parks! If you have any questions feel free to PM or email me, and I will help as much as I can. See ya Jeff!
