a dynoflaggelate bloom?

hey everyone!


What does anyone know about dynoflaggelate??? I finally figured out what the little oxygen bubbles in the red gel film is in my tank. According to this big book of algae i found in borders books, it is a dynoflaggelate, and it said that this is normal for the tank to experience during its maturing process and that the best thing to do is to let it ride out because anything i would do to get rid of it would just aggitate it and cause it to stay longer. so what does anyone know about this????

any advice on it?

it sounds more like cyano. siphoning it out when doing water changes is a great way to keep the nutrients it needs under control. skimming wet is another great way to keep the nutrients under control.
