Well...here is the issue with that...I have a remote sump in the base and that is where I want to keep the noise...I was thinking more along the lines of Tunze 6060's?

What do you think? How many do I need?

prolly Tunze, but you can do a closed loop system using Velocity pumps. noise is very important to me also. i have two closed loops on my system now. they are powered by a Velocity T2 each with eductor outlets. the loudest on the tank right now is still the overflow. can not hear the pumps at all.

i put my SPL meter next to the tank, but it did not read. the lowest my SPL meter can sense is 50db though.
