75RR dimensions

I haven't gotten my tank yet, but need to start on the stand. Can someone measure the footprint of their AGA 75 RR tank? I know the general size, but I want to get some better dimensions. Just as accurate as a standard tape measure will provide is good enough.

I'm only making the 2x4 frame for now, I'm going to skin it later. I just want the frame to be as accurate as I can get it.

I know the website shows the size at 48 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 21 1/8, but if you put a tape measure up to it, I'm willing to bet the size of the bottom trim isn't quite that size.

I was thinking of getting the same tank, mind if I ask how much you paid for it? You can PM if you don't wanna say it out loud.

reefermike... I wish I could wait, but my problem is that I'm moving on Feb 10, the 75 has to be ready by then. Tank won't be here for at least another week, and this is the last weekend I have between now and the move to try and build the stand.

Kelli, I decided to sell the 120 a while back... 2 tanks was just 1 too many really... I like having one. Two was just a little more effort than I had to offer them. The 75 I'm getting is going to replace the current 58. Once I've moved, I'm going to sell the 58. This just works out because I'll be able to upgrade tank without too much money having to be spent, plus it will make the move a lot easier. Noa and Iason are doing great. The little dude is already a little over 2 months old now... wow. And holy moly... the first kid changes your life. The second one definitely makes life way more challenging! But so worthwhile

hng: LFS had a sale on 75RR's last month. His supplier still owed him one tank, and he said he'd honor his sale price from last month for me, so I'm getting it for $200. I honestly didn't price shop that much on it because this particular LFS is typically very competitively priced even with many internet stores on other dry goods, so I pretty much don't question his prices. Plus, he's just a real good guy and I like being able to support him.

well, guess I should have asked when I agreed to buy this tank... turns out, it's not an AGA, it's a perfecto 75 RR. And perfecto's site is totally useless. Anybody have one of these that I can get dimensions on?

I have no specs, but Why not make a stand anyways? Assuming its going to be 750 lbs, and you know the general size. Why not make a stand with a little bit of room on each side of the tank? Then just center the tank on that. Just my opinion, FWIW.

The way that I want to build this stand, I need to try and be fairly accurate about it. Even if I build it bigger than the tank, say I build it expecting it to be 48 1/2" like the AGA specs, I'd need to build it just a touch bigger, then the tank turns out to be 48 even or even maybe a shade smaller... I could be off by as much as an inch.

I know that even if I have the tank here, I'm still not going to get it perfect, but if the dimensions I start out with are as exact as I can get them, the better my finished product is going to be.
