60 gallon tall lights

I have the opportunity to get a 60 gallon acrylic show tank. The guy at the shop will install a custom overflow and drill it for $60(tank is used). I want to go with T5 for lights. Will there be any penetration problems? I'm going to try to squeeze 6 54w bulbs but may end up settling for 4 bulbs.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Ive seen 4 54w t5's in action and they are very bright. I think youll be ok
