55g tank moving??

Im putting the pieces together to build a 55, but..... Im going to be replacing the flooring in that area of the house sometime soon. Im going to be going from carpet to tile where the tank will be. Im wondering if I should hold off untill the floor is done, or build the tank now and worry about moving it later.

If I have to move it, what would be the method of moving it? How much would I have to empty it? Has anyone moved a 55 or similar?

Thanks for your imput.

i would wait, or set it up somewhere else and then move it to its final spot when the floor is done.

If you have exp. moving a tank isnt so bad.

I agree with Geoff. Just get the toys together and stockpile them. The ocean will be there in a few months. It's not going anywhere. Take this time to fully research your equipment and get everything you want. The more time you take now to learn about the system the better of you'll be.

It will also give you the incentive to hurry up and get the floor done lazy

If I learned one thing in this hobby - patience is important. Nothing good comes fast from a reef tank!!!!
