Nice dude, if that tek fixture has t5 bulbs you will have very nice lighting for that 55. If they have individual reflectors you could keep anything you wanted. I only have a 4bulb t5 (with individual reflectors) and recently Ive been experimenting with SPS corals. Bought a green branching Monitpora and placed it towards the top of the tank and it seems likes its doing very well.

So who says you need face melting light for stony corals :P

Update - Latest Additions

Added 3 PJ Cardinals and reoriented the Lrg Jewel Stone to put unidentified Tunicates in less direct lighting and placed 2nd Waving Hand Xenia colony in MT. Blue Xenia in back getting very close to growing up the glass (hopefully). Thinking of trying to get that right side divider covered in GSPs. THat pillar on the right with the pulsing Xenia has a mound of GSPs in front of it and they are expanding fast.

Took about 5 weeks for this Porities encrusting coral to change from mostly tan to blue w violet dots that are actually tiny barnacle-type animals. This coral has grown right over lots of inverts and whether or not the coral is needed to sustain life for the worms somehow will be revealed in a couple places, where coral tissue either receeded while in my tank or was never there. Worms still alive.

For a while I was wondering why there always seems to be pieces of cheato shoved up the plume shaft thing and yesterday I noticed little amphipod type animals living in them. They would venture out and actually grab things. I noticed two living in this yellow one..

One of the PJs has a white dot on his eyes.. ill see if I have a pic but was wondering if anyone knew what I can do for this guy..

the eye on that fish isnt white cuz of a light reflection or flash, hes got some kinda infection i presume..

Halimeda sprouting up in two locations, I had thought that small tree was dead cuz it had coralline algae growing on it lol. Maybe its not though, im assuming it had something to do with those two lil sprouts..

The initial Shaving Brush I planted in the middle of this area bascially crumbled while that new one you see there started to grow. The root system must have stretched those 3-4 inches to sprout the current brush. I noticed another trunk sprouting up in the front corner. Since I added a couple live Pod boosters the floor has been infested with a new kind of tiny pod. I saw a shrimp molt and it was overflowing with them like maggots. Were these the TiggerPods or the OceanPods I got 3 weeks ago im wondering..

The red tubes including that kidney bean type organsim towards the left.. there are usually two more above the bean that look small version of the long red thing on the right but they were retracted when i took the pic.

The red bean is like a bladder that opens and squirts water out now and then, thats why i think it might be a type of sea squirt.
