While i'm hovering around the subject, anyone know the current thinking about One-spot rabbitfish and corals/polyps? Will they tuck in or will they leave them alone?

Rabbitfish are 50/50 when it comes to polyps, mainly zoanthids though. Some will not touch them, while others will decimate a small colony in a day. I hate to say you pay your money you take your chances, but you may want to make sure you have a LFS with a good trade in policy available for just in case.

Good call. My LFS said they would take it back if it started munching other livestock so now I just need to wait for them to get a juvenile around the same size as my tangs then I'll see what happens.

You may have better luck with a juvenile not eating the polyps. I had one that started out as a juvy and it never touched the first coral. The 2 barred rabbitfish I had I picked up when it was already an adult and it loved to munch on bright green zoanthids.

A different LFS had a One-Spot when I went in yesterday so I am now the proud owner of a Rabbitfish called Mulder!
