5 Gallon Nano Rearing up! (Current Q)

I posted over at nano-reef as well, but This is my reefing home for me.

Anywho, I upgraded my 5 Gallon "Galaxy 5" Last night. Added 2 13W Bulbs (one 6500k and one 50/50) into the hood, and an Aquaglobe 100GPH powerhead.

Problem is the sand was getting blown around (Was at full blast), but now I've got the Aquaglobe HEAVILY dampered, and have one area in the sandbed erroded away, even at the reduced rate blowing some particles around.
If I Leave that thing Wide open, and I have a nice sandstorm!

Have Good-Great flow overall, just wondering if maybe its still too much?

BTW, the lighting upgrade was great. Wired the 2 ballasts onto the existing switch in the canopy, and it looks great. Def a Fun DIY Project

once the sand get a little heavier with bacteria it should not move around as much. you can try splitting the output of the pump to a couple of areas.

Thanks Geoff, I changed the powerhead at lunch today, and It made a very big diffrence, even was able to increase the flow just a littlebit. Have very nice current now, and no sand is getting kicked up everywhere..

here is a pic of the tank. So far so good
