45 aga Skimmer less Reef Tank

ok I have a 10 gal nano-reef that is skimmerless w/1 chromis. Everything is going well, now my question is can i go skimmerless if i have a minimmal bio load, 2-skunk cleaners, hermits and turbo snails? the tank specs are: 45 aga tall, 1x96 10k, 1x96 7100k blue, 1x55 50/50, 10 gal sump, rio 2100 return, 2xmp900 ph, 70# live rock, but here is the kick i'm also going bare bottom. what do you think?

lots of people go sumpless and skimmerless.

i believe in using a skimmer, and they arent that expensive for a smaller tank.

i picked up my aquacleat skimmer, new for only 99 and it included the pump. it was rated for a 75g and i ran it on a 55g, steve will be running it on a 75 or 90.

you should be just fine without one, providing you are doing other things for water quality. though i recommend one.

with the bio-load you are thinking of, i think it could work. you will need to use another way to export toxins and organics. you will need to stay on top of water changes. also when you do water changes you will need to siphon out as much of the detritus as you can. the LR itself should be able to supply enough filtration for what you are thinking. at least in regards to the nitrogen cycle.
