400, or 250?

I just have a quick little question, I could either get 2 400w MHs with 5500 Kevlin Bulb, or 2 250w MHs with 12,000K bulb. witch one would you get? remember, this will be over a standard 70gal, with lots ov corals and clams.

If those are the only choices you'd probably be happier with the 250W 12000K.

Have you considered the Iwasaki bulbs? Price is good and with supplementation they look great IMO .

sorry, I coulden't get my parents to back me up so I had to go with with the 250w 5500k bulb, I will upgrade when I get more scratch. I got them from http://www.aquaticlight.com for 2 250s it cost me $290 for retro kits. not that much for my little budget/Allouance.

Im just not a big fan of lots of lights (400s). My 2-250s are AOK and seem to be almost more than certain corals like. You will be happy with your purchase, but I suggest 6500K bulbs over the 5500K.

250s are the best anyway. I would try to get the 12000K bulbs later.
