4 tangs and more

My reef club member Mike (Mako56) posted some new pics... I'm just showing off and perhaps playing devil's advocate a bit, but his tank is a 180 and he's had these tangs and more for years. I just love the copperband...

then for your viewing pleasure, a fts.

great pix! However I think the tank your wanting to put them in is much smaller? I have 2 tangs in a 150 and I wouldn't dream of adding another. Your friend also has a cooperband. Cooperbands are very difficult fish to keep alive so I would think your friend knows what he's doing and is well experienced at it.

I'm not getting a tang, just showing off his.

That copperband he's had for years, and I just fell in love when I saw it in person. His tank is just stunning in person! It's an in wall setup with a whole room "packed to the gills" hehe, with sumps and frag tanks and breeding stations for the maroon clowns. This is indeed his passion. From the outside it is beautifully framed with two rolling chairs so you can sit and stare for as long as you want. He loves having company over to see his tank. Heck, you put that much time, money and sweat into something you sure do want to show it off! I want to show off my 38g, and it's just a puddle compared to his!

Hi DebsSisterFlo Hope I didn't come off as a know it all? I'm new to reefing but have Had fish only tanks for a few yrs and have learned(sometimes the hard way) about putting either too many or the wrong combo of fish in a tank. Those pix are AWESOME as I'm sure your 38 gallon tank is just as AWESOME. Please forgive me if I cam off in the wrong light. I just didn't want you to make a mistake with your pets.

It's recommended to not have Tangs together in a smaller tank, but I haven't seen any problems so far with Tangs at all. My 2 in my 120 don't bother each other one bit.

Sweet, I have 3 tangs and a copper, the copper was evicted soon after he got a taste for my clams. But the tangs love to swim together.
