i'm surprised no one responded to this post. I guess this light isn't popular enough.

I don't know anything about that exact hood, but I have something similar to it. My light is made by Custom Sea Life, who went out of business. Now all those same light fixtures that Custom Sea Life made look like the exact same thing as the Orbit fixtures. I guess Orbit bought some of Custom Sea Life? For example, I have this exact light

but mine is made by Custom Sea Life. It has been a good light fixture, but I'm really wanting metal halides!! Only problem I am having is with the moon lights- one of them went out, and another one is flickering. So now I have 2 fully fuctional moon lights instead of 4. I've had the fixture for 2 years.

As far as PC lighting goes, it has done the job for me.

I was considering that hood, but I found a 36" coralife 2x150w MH hood for just a bit more and went with that. 4x96 is good, but pc light is never going to be as powerful as MH.
