300G sps tank
This is partly for galleon,[as per our posts on RC ].
After thinking about the 70G sps and having two tanks, I have decided to replace my in-the-wall, 170G, with a 7ft.L-3ft.W-24in.H tank and stick with one tank.
Going to sell my softy,s, just keeping my large bubble coral & a baby moon coral I have been raising.
This tank will only have a small sandbed, but more live rock. Perhaps I may even add a tang now that its large enough, Anyone know if Premium Aq. still has the hippo,s raised from the larve, or anyone else that carries similar?

Oooooooo! I can't wait.
Doug,
Get you some big rocks in there too. What worked for us was putting that light diffuser stuff (what's the name again) on the bottom first, then the sand, then the rocks on edge. That kept the rocks from sliding around and exposed more of the sand bed. Made some great caves too.
Have fun, you're going to love that tank.
Jerel

Sounds like it will make an incredible display. Jerel's idea (BTW, Jerel, the stuff is called "louvre" or "eggcrate") works well to keep the rock from moving around, just put the eggcrate down, rocks on top of that, then pile the sand as high as you like. did you decide to go high energy or low energy?
Cheers,
Chris

Can't you just see Jerel stroking his face pensively... "eggcrate" (what he didn't type was the conceptual conflict and the "wow" that came afterwards).
LOL

Hey Doug ,
That's a MAJOR tank!!!
Do you have the tank spotted or will you have it custom built?
