3 stripe damsels
Yesterday, i went and got two 3 stripe damsels. Because my lawnmower blenny died, I just bought a couple of these fish to make sure that It wasn't my tanks fault that the blenny (which I noticed had cloudy eyes) died. I was thinking of just putting them in the tank and then tanking them out a little later when I am ready for the fish I really want, but, watching them swim around, I think I might keep them! The black and white color of the fish really showcases them against the purple and greens of my rocks.
The fish store sold me some stuff called "sweetwater" and is some kind of zooxanthelae food or something? It says on the bottle that it is daphnia? Is this good to feed my fish? And when get other fish, is this food goood for them?

Daphnia are a FW bug, I suppose it would be a zooplankton of sorts, since its not marine based I doubt that it will provide much in the way of nutrients for SW organisms. If its bottled up its prolly mostly dead. Live hatched daphnia are used as beginning food for FW fish fry but I doubt that bottled stuff is worth the money.
The damsels are cute, but they will become the terror of the tank, and can be a royal pain to remove, maybe you should add a few more varieties and just have a damsel tank. It can be interesting to watch them stake out their turf

The fish I want in the tank later on will be
2 perc clowns
1 royal gramma
1 6 line wrasse
1 lawnmower blenny
1 goby
So I think later on, I will just take them out and put the ones I want in. I am just seeing if any fish can survive in my tank.
And that sweetwater stuff says is for marine fish. Its called zoo-something

If you figure how to get damsels out of a tank let us know!!! I know a few people who put damsels in when cycling their tank, and they are still there years later. I have seen the become agressive (the dominios more then the three stripes), but I have also seen them live peacefully with other fish for years.
