......$30 NEW. I got the deluxe w/ UV.. It seem like a great setup as I have flow, can run carbon, has a skimmer and UV all in one little unit! I know not the best but cheap and I am going to go for a budget build.

Goal is a VERY nice and VERY cheap reef!

Now I have a 20 gallon that I am going to setup and want to feed this filter setup with surface water. So should I just buy another brand overflow box/surface skimmer box or make one up. Not really a big deal?

Any idea greatly appreciated. And there will be no sump on this setup! Just this and a CLS!

My though is build a small overflow box that the feed for the filter can suck the water out of.

Can I buy the acrylic to make this myself for a custom size??

Just use that as a blueprint and make one out of pvc.

I moded my post probably while you were typing. I assume your refering to the second one......now.

Which design do you think would be better? Or just which ever I prefer?

So where can I get some BLUE acrylic sheets? Just need a little bit to make an overflow box? assuming that is what I should do as I have so many opinions!

Anyone have any extra laying around??

Check your Home Depot or local hardware store or even a crafts shop for the acrylic.
