I have a 24" fixture over my wife's 20L clown tank and there are dark ends. I strongly recommend a 30" fixture. You'll thank me in the long run!

You can get a 30" fixture......or you can retro a hood. Either way the bulbs would need to be staggard to prevent dark spots. In 1-2 years we wont have to worry about lights......MH, PC, VHO will all be out of style. Plasma will be in.

I'm starting a 20 Long build right now as well. I ended up ordering this setup from Marine Depot.
http://www.marinedepot.com/30_inch_2...U01014-vi.html
It's 130 watts total lighting which is quite good for a 20 long since it's only 12" deep. Best part is it's on sell right now for another week still so if you decide to get it nab it now. You'll only pay $89 for it instead of $150. Very good deal! Anyways, check it out, I think you'll like it. I own another one of their fixtures and it's great!

Here's the Current USA 2x65 dual actinic/dual daylight 30 inch unit on my new 20Long. Looks nice. Fans are a hair loud but not unbearable. Lighting is ever so slightly dimmer on the right side of the tank due to the length of the bulbs but thats okay as I want a lower light side to put lower light corals. Pleased with the unit so far. Have to see how corals will like it but very pleased so far.

Not to knock the fixture you bought, but I would avoid anything with PC bulbs. T5's are more efficient and put out more PAR for the money...which translates into being able to keep what youa re wanting to keep.
With PC, you aren't going to be able to keep clams or nems...at least not for long

Not for what you want to keep. The first fixture you linked to at the top of this thread would be the minimum in my experience and opinion. Lighting is not one of those area you skimp on when it comes to these tanks. It is simply the single most important item that you are going to have that will make or break your plans.
