2 wrasses together?

I was cautioned about putting 2 wrasses together in a tank.

I have a 125 gallon MOWLR.
It will be mostly aggressive fish:lions, triggers, puffers etc...

But what I want is an Australian Harlequin tusk fish and a pinkface (aka fiveline) wrasse.

Anyone have any advice or any experience with keeping 2 wrasses together in the same tank? I understand that the pinkface is pretty good at holding his own even at 5 inches.

Thanks for the help.

I would be worried about problems with the lion and trigger. They may beat/eat the wrasses. It all depends but the harlequin is very expensive and i am not sure i would risk it if i were you.

In my last tank I had a paddlefin wrasse in with a volition lion, a clown trigger & a niger trigger (among other things)...and he did well. Noone messed with him cause he never stopped swimming. He would even try and sneak in on the triggers when they were feeding!!!

But he was a couple inches longer than the pinkface.

I guess I was more concerned with wether or not the Harlequin & the pinkface would get along?

I know my pinkface runs the tank. Hard to say, But thats good that its a 125. It will give them lots of room. I would not put two wrasses in my tank. Just my $.02

OK, so after some advice on another thread "How fast will these fish grow?"... I have decided on Just an Harlequin Tuskfish & a clown trigger...

Can I put those together with:
1 cuban hogfish
1 lime green (or sunset) wrasse
&
1 pinkface wrasse

Or will they fight with eachother? I am looking for info on what wrasses I could or could not keep in the same tank?

Any thoughts or advice? Anyone currently housing multiple wrasses in a MOWLER?

I group hogfish, wrasses and the tusk together as wrasses because they have pretty much the same temperment from my experience.

Yes, I believe hogfish and the tuskfish are both technically wrasses. I have never kept a hogfish...but in the past I did house a tusk and a paddlefin wrasse together and they were amiable.
