2 part

OK I understand that "purple Up" works but is still kind of a gimmick, so can someone tell me the correct way to make 2 part now that I am out of the purple stuff, and maybe the correct or rather best way to dose it other than a reactor?

I use this and it works great. When making the alk part it is best to dissolve the baking soda in boiling water and then dilute it out to the proper ratio of water to baking soda. I boil the water in the microwave (make sure it is not pure water (for an explanation of why watch mythbusters)) and stir the baking soda into it. The calcium chloride dissolves pretty readily in water so no boiling is required for the calcium part.

calcuim chloride generates it's own heat when introduced to water That's one reason you don't need to pre-heat the water. It heats up and dissolves automatically basically.

Purple up is only a gimmik in the sense that it's expensive for what you get. You can do a home made 2 part or buy some of it in bulk.

you can buy premade stuff as well if you don't prefer DIY, B-Ionic and AquaC makes some good ones.
