2 New True Perc Clowns Fighting!

Hello

I recently (3 weeks) upgraded my tank to a 30 long with CPR HO Fuge. I added 2 True Percs from Liveaquaria yesterday. They sent me 2 fish exactly the same size (about 2"). I know it is better to pair 1 smaller and 1 large---but I do not have that option. The more aggressive fish is pounding the other to the point it just sits behind a power head while the other rules the tank. Will this eventually stop?----I do not want the other to go carpet surfing!---Any advice is greatly appreciated----Anthony

Do you know of anyone that would be willing to trade a clown with you? Someone you know or a lfs? Maybe you could separate them and feed one more so it grows faster. Just some suggestions, I don't have any experience with that really.

You might have to intervene, either get something like a breeder net to provide refuge for the more passive one, or completely rearrange the live rock, to confuse the aggressor. Hopefully they will establish territory and settle down soon enough. I would say that the aggressive one is going to be the female, as it will get the lions share of food. If they dont mellow out with a few days you may need to get rid of one or the other
