10K, 12K, 20K... or 6.5K, which one is best

There are so many choices of MH, what is the best to use? I currently have 2 55W PC actinic up front and 2 55W PC actinic toward the back of the tank. A pair of 175W MH in the middle. What is the correct choice of colour temp for the MH.

How long do most run the MH per day?

Dave,

thanks.. I was reading some of the old post that say MH is bad for the ricodrea, mushrooms and zoos. Do you have any problems with that much light?

Silas! Your corals will usually let you know if there is to much or to little lighting as they won't respond by expanding, polyps not opening, etc.
Just move them around until you notice the corals responding! Placement is the key in most cases! Also it is not just the lights but water current can dictate where a coral should be. HTH
