1/4" x 1/4" holed rigid mesh clear fiberglass ??

does anyone know where I can get this stuff?
Need to get some to keep my fish in the tank.

Not window screen...it is almost like fishing line woven into a checkered web.

Go to www.mcmaster.com and I am sure they will have it. Otherwise PM and I will have a vendor of mine run it down.

the eggcrate is 1/2" x 1/2"...my fish will get through...

Can I use plexyglass with holes in it? I am planning on using double eggcrate (one piece over the other) for the back and a piece of plexy under the light...so I get no light loss.

Will this provide enough gas exchange (I also have a sump that is open topped)
Also, will the plexy burn under the light?

glad to be apart of this site!!

Welcome to TRT!!!

i suggest not putting plexi over the crate. it will salt up pretty quick and be a pain to keep clear.

i would only suggest putting plexi/glass over a tank if they plan on keeping an octopus.

The customer service is incredible at McMaster Carr as well. I ran Ops and Purchasing in a few places and they are just the standard. If you live near one of their warehouses you sometimes get your stuff by courier the same day.

There have been maybe five problems ever where someone ordered the wrong thing (not McMaster's fault) and they just take it right back.

But yep, you need plastic or mesh or a clear sheet to fill on over your window air conditioner or a sign or a whatever and they have it.
