...whole lotta chasing going on....

No one told me Bangaii's were such interesting fish. Well, the soap opera continues. This morning things are really heating up. The loner guy is quite obviously not wanted. He's being harrased by both of the other fish it seems. The two that were all lovey dovey before will actually swim on seperate sides of the tank, but usually end up next to one another.

Hopefully I can catch the little loner or seperate him when we move into the new tank.

One other note...these fish seem to have voracious appetites! Poor things act like they are starving. We're feeding them 1-2 times a day right now. They especially love going after the mysid shrimp.

Sounds like you're having fun Brooke!

My fish always act like they're starving, I think they just know I'm a sucker, lol.

I noticed that too. We had a couple of them in our tank before we moved (they didn't survive the trip) and they ate like crazy. It is amazing how much a fish can eat when they pretty much just hang out all day.

Maybe they're so hungry all the time because they breed so often and have a high metabolism because of that? Hmmmmmm.

Just an update-

The big male (assuming) is now charging and chasing his former girlfriend. Must of not been his girlfriend after all. Could I have ended up with 3 males?? What luck, huh. We're gonna get this figured out before these guys go in the new tank.

There is no need to have a second Banggai. It is just neat to have a piar because then they may breed, but they will be fine by themselves.
