!!!i Am About To Go Insane!!!

I am having so much trouble with this DARN skimmer. it just wont stop with the bubbles no matter what i do. i have cleaned it with bleach a month later i let it soak in vinegar. i tried modding the bubble trap which has decreased the microbubbles in the tank but this is ridicules. i put a valve on the air line to bring down the amount of air that its pulling in but still nothing.

i hate my skimmer!

any ideas on what else i can do to make stop?

honest to god before i took the pictures the entire reaction chamber was filled with bubbles and was completely white.
also i dont know if its because my tank has a low bioload, but i dont get a lot of skimmate. my skimmer could run for 2weeks with out cleaning the tank, and the cup will barely have any skimmate.

tell me if you want some of other angles

yeah when i used mine HOB that bubble trap made a huge difference, I'd go back to it. Mine worked best when that flexible tube was pressed between 1" and all the way into the bottom of it. The edge of the bubble trap was about 1/4 to 1/2" out of the display water.

With all that bleach and vinegar cleaning, it may need to break in again, but idk for sure... how longs it been?

one sec on the pic. Jet? do you mean the pump? i dont have the water valve there i took if off because it was recommended by some people hear on TRT to take it off and it was not needed. the red dial is always open i have tired other postions but when the skimmer likes to work it over flows.

that bubble trap doesn't work great right out of the box. it takes a lil bit for the algae and stuff to build up in there. thats what seemed to really catch and diffuse the microbubblage.

well how long does it take for the algae to form on the box because i would have to clean it every week when i clean the tank because it would be filled with red cyno and brown algea

and by cleaning all i did was rinse and ring it out under the faucet.

I guess that's going to be different for you since you have a cyano problem. in your pic of the valve closed, thats prob right about where it should be.
