Foxface are reefsafe. I have one and he has been great. Now they are territorial so if you want to add less aggressive fish you need to do it before adding the fox. Mine bullies new fish but after a few days he will ignore them and be back to his usual laid back self.
I should add I have the figi foxface. Here he is. What size tank do you have? They do need plenty of room. Here is a little info for you.

They most certainly all are not reef safe.
I voted worth the gamble.

I love my foxface. I can't imagine the tank without one.

I have a fijian foxface in a reef tank & it leaves all the corals alone in preferance for dryed food. Have heard it can sometimes be dodgy with polyps, but recon it's worth a try if you keep an eye on it. A beautiful fish, normally helps with algae... go for it if you like it!

I love my foxface, easily my favorite fish. I had read before purchasing mine that they would pick at corals, but rarely make it a habit of eating them. Mine prefers to eat nori, but frankly is quite a pig and will eat flake, pellets, shrimp, nori, pretty much anything I put in the tank. He has an amusing past time of picking at hermit crabs too. I think he just likes to see them hide in their shells.

I guess it's hit or miss with any fish you buy. I once got a yellow tang that the minute I put it in the tank started nipping on the zoa's. He went back to the store the very same day. No one can predict how an animal will act in an aquarium environment until you do it. From my experience with my figi tho he has no interest in any of my corals. Loves nori, shrimp, silversides, mysis, pellet, etc.

I had a large fox face given to me and it ate every zoo I had; it was also very under feed so that might have part of it. It is now very fat (not from the zoos by the way) and doesn’t bother anything else. They are very cool fish, if you get one just watch out when you have your hands and arms in the tank

<---My rabbitfish 'Horace' is a ledgend! Leaves all the corals alone, and is such a character... best fish in my tank!
I think rabbitfish more often than not make a great addition to a reef tank!
