WTT SFE & Dwarf Lion for 40 gallon or larger tank
I am Tico Mike's neighbor, and am tearing down and upgrading tanks. I need a 40 gallon or larger sump tank.
For all who care to know....I am the keeper of the pink & green lord (that now has several babies!)

Hey snotcha, I had been hounding Mike to get you to join in with our little gatherings.
So what's a SFE?
One of these days I would like to try and work out a trade for the pink and green thing you have.

i'm guessing Snow Flake Eel-i've always thought it would be fun to have an eel in a reef tank (obviously with the right tankmates (like a DL)-alas i cannot sorry-but good luck finding them a home).

Oh, nm.
Long clinic today. I would love to try a SFE some day, but just couldn't imagine putting one in my reef tank...I've pondered asking this question to my fellow reefers, so I guess in routine TCMAS fashion of taking threads off track, what do you guys think?!?!

If your fish are big enough to not be eaten, I can't imagine it would do to much harm but you would need a tight fitting canopy. I have allways loved eels but don't want to risk it.

She has a about 10" +/- snow flake eel and an average sized dwarf lion that both eat like pigs. Adapted nicely to aquarium living. Her upgrade is to a 175 bow front so I think her time will be spent on that. If there are no takers for a trade, I'm sure she'd sell them and buy a decent sized tank for her sump if someone has one. Anyone with an agressive fish only set-up would be perfect for this or a fish only with larger fish as the dwarf lion is, well, a dwarf.

Hey Snotcha, Since the next meeting is at my house in Hudson, you should come and join TCMAS. Admision price is only one small pink and green lord frag!

I've been looking for a dwarf lion! I already have a SFE though, does anyone think that my mandarin would be fine with a dwarf??????? My 12-14" SFE doesn't bother him!?!?!

assuming the mandarin isn't mouth size for the lion it shouldn't be any problem. mandarins and psychedelics produce a toxic slime which should deter the lion anyways. interesting mix of critters have you!

Checked out her tank last night when she wasn't home and can say that these guys are healthy. Also can report about four or five babies on the pink and green thing. It is pink and green under white light, so if you had super actinics....................

By the way the meeting is in Hudson this month and would be a perfect spot to make a swap...or purchase.

Maybe if I get my 175 up without any major issues, I can have you all over here for a meeting to admire my pink & green mama and babies. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
As of yesterday afternoon, the lion and snowflake eel found a new home in Red Wing.
Later...Carrie
