Since these are for Actinics have you considered VHO's as opposed to PC's. I have used both and currently have pc's. Can't wait to upgrade and have the VHO's again. I am still waiting for a different PC actinic bulb that is back ordered that I want to try first. Appearently it's better looking then the other brands. They say it looks more like the VHO's but we'll see.

Just my $0.02

Ditto on the VHOs. Icecap is about to release a SLR reflector for VHOs so you can get more of the light into your tank vs. just the URI internal reflectors to get many of the benefits that T5 reflectors provide which will not be possible from a PC simply because of the shape of the bulb.

0 feedback on that seller so I would probably stay away. (but that's my take on ebay. I wouldn't even consider buying from someone that doesn't have lots of sales with a higher then 97% feedback rating)

Anyway, those are 48" bulbs anyway. You need some 72 inchers...

I would probably try to find an IceCap ballast. ( I like the cheaper $35 electric ones personally because of the cost, but they won't run longer then 48" bulbs )
