WTB VHO retro setup
would be for actintic would like 4 96 watts would really only need the set up: ballest end caps ect. something i can mount right in the canopy..let me know ASAP! or might have to go to ebay

Since these are for Actinics have you considered VHO's as opposed to PC's. I have used both and currently have pc's. Can't wait to upgrade and have the VHO's again. I am still waiting for a different PC actinic bulb that is back ordered that I want to try first. Appearently it's better looking then the other brands. They say it looks more like the VHO's but we'll see.

Ditto on the VHOs. Icecap is about to release a SLR reflector for VHOs so you can get more of the light into your tank vs. just the URI internal reflectors to get many of the benefits that T5 reflectors provide which will not be possible from a PC simply because of the shape of the bulb.

Anyway, those are 48" bulbs anyway. You need some 72 inchers...
I would probably try to find an IceCap ballast. ( I like the cheaper $35 electric ones personally because of the cost, but they won't run longer then 48" bulbs )

After checking out a few products, I think i am going with the "new" quad 96 watt setup. its 4 bulbs 24" long all in one for 96 watts go with four total. anyone have any info good or bad on these newer style bulbs? i heard that this "is" the new way???
