You may want to take out the root cause of the Hair Algae instead of fixing it with a herbivore.
Lawn Mower Blemmys do a good job sometimes, I have a foxeface that loves hair algae. It can be hit or miss sometimes finding something to eat it.

Between the Foxface and the Tangs in my tank, the only place I see hair alge is in the refugium. The copepods seem to love it, and I figure it's as good a nutrient exporter as macros

The mexicans are very big, about 2 - 2.5" across.

Mexican Turbos can be pretty amazing. They usually run about $4 each and are much bigger than an astrea snail. They also knock stuff over so make sure any corals are locked down.
Good water parameters, near 0 TDS as your topoff water, and minimizing input from food, are the key to fighting algae long term.

Come visit Jerry up here, and bring some extra money for some corals. He got some sweet ones right now! Trust me....I was just there.
