I'll try to get pics posted or sent to you this weekend. Stand can be sold to, although it has a 38" x 20" footprint. About 3' tall as well.

37cube is TOO small. i have a 20H now so i need to about double my gallons..but i need to use the same equipment so it will have to be lit by 1x400w MH

a 24" cube is right about 56gal or so

yep i've got one

its a wash oak setup:

it comes with glass top, light strip that came with the tank, wash oak stand. the tank is drilled on the top back left corner with an overflow box. asking for $500 for the whole setup.

hmm, i can buy a brand new RR and stand for ~$560....so 500 isn't a hell of a deal since the top and light are useless and the overflow isn't as nice as the RR from oceanic

might want to check you price and lower it.

is it brand new??

thanks

no, it not brand new.

yeah, i checked the price b4 posting. for the tank last time i checked this morning was at $230 not RR/$340RR(forest lake pets, most of the time they have the lowest price for tanks) and stand was at $260.

so your $560 is a better deal then we can get here local at the store.

i'm just asking for that price, not a final price

i wouldn't go RR from oceanic, the tank is small already.

ahh i see...my place SUCKS and they get
399 rr 58gal and
169 for the stand

so about 560 or so.

souk you got pics? would you be willing to negotiate price? i have PLENTY of fraging to do if you need some.

58's don't have a center brace right??

also what would 1x400w look like on a 3ft tank...i know everyone says only 2ft but what would 3ft look like...any experince.

hmm even w/ you prices for new 230+260=490 NEW!!! but it is not RR....still that isn't worth that much money.

just my opinion.

IMO, I'd rather have a drilled tank with overflow box....takes up a lot less room than their (oceanic) tall boxes

Lunch - get ahold of geshield, Greg/reefmania. I'm pretty sure he ran a single 400 in a 58, so he should have pics of that configuration somewhere.

I have plans to set up a 58g very soon. It will have a single 400w Radium 10" about the water, with 3 75w VHOs, both on IceCaps. I have accumulated much of it, and am waiting for someone to swap tanks and upgrade.

I have read about the spread quite a bit, and think it's fine, and with 3-4 VHOs it will be barely noticable. It will allow you to place corals up top on the sides that may not like the 400w bulb, like blastomussa.

Thats the plan. But if I were able to spend more, I'd go with the dual 250w instead because there will be few limitations and better intensity near the bottom.

cool cool...i didn't figure a single 400w would be a problem and that would be NICE to have 2 VHO's on it

yeah i hear you about the smaller box not taking up as much room
