Why you have controllers

My wife was taking care of the daily details of my tanks while I was at the frag swap in Rhinelander. When I came back I noticed my PH controller was shut down stopping the CO2 flow. Generally it runs 24/7 just to keep up. Today is the first time I saw the CO2 come on and some how she had the needle valve on full flow. I hate to think what would have happened to the PH without the controller since it took two days to notice. The other thing is I just got this setup with the probe in an effluent container so the shutoff is instant. If your running your system without controls your lucky day by day.

I also am glad I run a controller on everything. Also comes in handy when you are trying to tune a CA RX and need sleep

If you don't run gadgets, you don't need a controller.

Was just curious which controllers you guys use. Have been looking at a couple different ones and was curious what those of you with experience with them thought of them.

I use the neptune aquacontroller as you can control up to 20 different things with x10 modules

as long as the x10 controllers don't mess up your ballasts

Same here! However I wish it could control more things, but I don't have any more specialized equipment to utilize controls if the RK did.
