Question

Who uses RO water from the grocery store ?

I am in need of more water than my RO/DI system can handle. I know some of you guys have used RO water from Cub or Rainbow.

Do you have to treat the RO water before use or can you just mix the salt and bring up the temp ?

A lot of Grocery Stores are lax on their filter changes. I would check the TDS before buying a large batch.

I have a 100gpd AND a 75 gpd

They can handle my usual water demands, however,m right now I am setting up my 180 and I need more water. Had to keep a lot of water in the 135 and I can't take anyting out of the 72.

This is just for todays need

I use water from rainbow since I set up the tank. Never tested it, but I have never had any problems with algae or anything.

Yes Sir..pretty much done, except for the long drawn out process of finishing up the stuff that wasn't quiet as important as getting the water to circulate. i.e. make it look finished

Here are some pics:

FYI, I use water from both the local grocery store (Econofoods) and wall-mart. I have checked both with a TDS meter, and continue to spot check on occasion. The Econofoods foods water is always less then 5 ppm, and the wall-mart is always less then 2 ppm. Wall-mart is cheaper also, about $0.58 per gallon.

I used walmarts also. I just watched the stickers on them and tried to get my water when they changed the filters in them.

I use water from Cub in Elk River and Cub in Monticello. No problems so far. Both locations post when the unit was last cleaned. It's 29 or 39 cents a gallon.
