Who runs a 48" 120 gal?
I was eyeballing one of these tank and was just wondering who was running one and how they liked it.
I currently ahve a 72" 125 and I dont like it that much. Too much evaporation and the tank is longer than some of my cords so things dont get placed where I want them.

Mine is - 4'x2'x2'.
I love it. Perfect dimensions (IMO) for a "reasonable" sized tank - as in, not too big. Lots of layout options. The equal height and width is much more appealing than the usual height > width.

Just starting up a 120G AGA 48 X 25 X 24- seems to be a good size, a lot more room than our current 72G bowfront.

For standard glass tanks, 120g ( 48" ) & 180g ( 72" ) seem to make the nicest reef tanks with much more aquascaping possibilities with the extra depth. They don't come up for sale near as often as a result.
If buying new non-custom size tank, personally this is the only way I would go IMO.

I think you can find them reef ready around $400-450. That was the going rate when I got mine 3 years ago. Check Forest Lake Pets' price. They're usually pretty hard to beat.

One benefit with the 6 foot tank is the swimming length for somewhat larger fish. My foxface lo is about 6" now and loves the extra foot of room than ny 4 foot 72 bf had... He swims from end to end all the time.
