Where to get a peacock mantis?
I am now on the hunt to try to find a place where I can get a peacock mantis. Does anyone know where I might get one, and how much should I expect to pay?

I think Dr. Fosters and Smith sell them.

Let me know if you order any live goods from the Drs. I may want to go in with you.

I already checked fosters and smith, they don't carry them, I'll check again in case I missed something.

Hey Superman this is supposed to be a reef forum. If you are going to post things about things that eat reef creatures maybe you should post on "eat reef dot com", Just kidding, Foster and Smith refers to the Peacock Mantis as the Clown Mantis. They are $39.99. This seems a bit spendy, but you are loaded so probably just a drop in the bucket.

Superman, check with Jerry, (JNS), or you can try some LFS. If I remember correctly, SF had one a while back that came in on their live rock. If not, you can always try to look on RC's mantis forum, and try to get someone to send one to you. I've seen people post threads on there about free mantis they've caught in their tanks.

I have a 2 inch dark green mantis in a 7 gallon bowfront. Quite the little monster.

Ha Ha Ha tico mike Remember I know where you live I guess from what you found on Dr. Fosters & Smith I will be trying to find one locally, contrary to what you believe I am not made out of money
Thanks for the Mantis info guys, I will have to check out the local possibilities and see what I find.
