Where in TC to get white sand

So, I'm about to start up my new seaclear 40. I've got some silica sand, but it's a little tanish, and I'd prefer something a bit more white. Also, it'd be great if it were calcium carbonate instead of silicate. So, where can I go in the TC to get it? I tried menard's, no dice. Sugar sized is what I'm thinking... Thanks!

If I can find it at a hardware store, I think that'd be best. That way I can keep saving for a bigger skimmer

Honestly, when your only talking a 40g tank, it's not much of a savings. I'd get the stuff from LFS and be done......

Isn't going to matter much what it's made of. At the PH levels tanks are at, none of it would be soluable anyhow......the buffering ability of aragonite/ calcium carbonate is pretty much a myth.
