What is a KW/Hr going for these days?

I just picked up a 1000W Pendant from paul (deathmatch) and I am debating on how to use it. I have a 58g with a 400W right now, I think 1000W would be a little much. I also have a 3'x3' tank I have been slowly putting together. Might do that. I am curious how corals will react to 1000W of 14K hamilton light. pretty extreme.

Xtreme! Put it on the 58. It would be too much wattage for the 3X3

This should be interesting. I would start with a 30 min photo period.

Lets see. 4 to 5 hours a day for 30 days = 120 to 150 (KW/hr)/month *.08= $12 per month assuming 5 hours. That's not bad. I was assuming it would be like $0.20/KW/Hr

Hmmmm, I can see you must have the luxary not being in charge of the bill paying. Rate is always on there.

I am not in charge of it, I just for over the dough. I told my dad when I moved back in that I didnt want to hear and complaining about the electricity of my tanks and in return I would pay for it. I just give him however much he asks for.
