Unidentified goo

I've got my 80 gal all up and running, full of rock and cycled. I've put a bunch of snails and some hermits in there and am just waiting for things to settle down a bit before adding some fish. So now that I have some mobile living things in there, I spend a fair bit of time with my nose to the glass and have noticed a lot of little fan worms, various pod type critters, itty bity worms crawling on the glass etc, much better than TV. Anyways, getting to the point, over the past week, on four separate occassions, I've been seated nose to the glass and noted a medium to large burst of white goo coming from the depths of the live rock. It starts out about the volume of a walnut and is kinda stringy, then it expands as it makes it way toward the surface but completely disperses/disolves within 5 or 6 seconds or so. Any idea what that might be?

Thanks
Tom

I have no idea what that is but you sound like me watching everything going on in the tank. Have you had a flashlight on it at night?

Well, there you go, I was watching (with a flashlight) a two or three inch long black and white striped worm digging around in a nearby rock when I saw it the last time.

Thanks
