Thanks David. If Derek's skimmer would be more stable that would probably be the better bet.

Derek,
I'll e-mail or call or something to see if I might be able to pick it up this weekend sometime. Maybe Sunday?

I still have that UV contraption of yours (from Max) in my office. I can bring that along.

Thanks again Derek. And thanks to all the rest of you who offered help too.

Do you want to pick up your fish as well?

Derek,

Looks like this weekend is not going to work. Had an all day field trip today with my Ecology class, have a big exam to grade that has been sitting ungraded for a shamefully long time, misc research project details to help my student with, a lab project to design/write for next week, etc..... and a family/spouse who is feeling neglected.

I'll shoot for next week sometime if you are available. I'll call or something when I have a better idea of what might work.

I can take the fish now (when I pick up the small skimmer from you) if you want to get them out of your tank (please be honest), but otherwise it might be good to wait until I have the big skimmer on that system. I need to check again to get an estimate of when the skimmer is likely to be done.

It's no problem to hold onto the fishies. However, if I finally make a big move with all my tank stuff this, err, next weekend, it may be an ideal time to get the fish back to you. If it's safer to hold onto them for the time being, that's ok. I would hate for you to take them back too soon and then end up regretting it later.
