Twin Cities Fish Stores?

I will be coming to Minneapolis within the next couple of days to pick up my new lights . Could you guys and girls give me some names and addresses of a few good shops to look into? I am familiar with the metro area so I should be able to track something down! Thanks, Chuck

Something Fishy - Richfield 612-861-6675
World of Fish - Richfield (a block from SF) 612-866-2026
Har Mar Pet Shop - Roseville (don't know what they have for lights) 651-631-0117
Fish & Friends - Brooklyn Park (doesn't stock much) 763-391-0768

What are you looking for in lights? Jerry (JnS on the forum), Dirk Griffin (Red Wing) or online are going to probably be your best bet price wise.

I would talk to Jerry (JnS) when you are in town. He usually has some nice stuff and his prices are far better then any of the LFS's... IMHO

I actually am coming to pick up the lights that I bought from another reef board. It is a 48" PC unit used only 3 mos. so it should get me by for now. Thanks all for the info, I'm looking forward to seeing something different than the LFS around here!

then I suggsest

go to Something Fishy to look around and just look.

then go to World of Fish (bring smelling salts) and laugh or faint at prices.

then on way home, stop by har mar pets, pick up 2 or 3 buckets of Oceanic Salt for 32 bucks or is it 39 whatever.. its cheap.

and hit up on some guys whos trying to get rid of frags or so.

Sounds like Clyde has done this before. I agree with the stores that he stated. What kind of corals are you interested in adding to your setup?

For some reason I really like zoo's and polyps. I currently have some colt, xenia, some starburst polyps, and a few different shrooms so I am looking to expand on that. Would really like some blue zoos but that is for when I get rich!

What is FLP, Alex? (Sounds like a Jeopardy answer doesn't it?)

Sweet list,
on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) it rates Petco as a 5 and Something Fish as a 1. LOL
