Turboflotor

Ok I got a new turboflotor, and I ran into a couple problems trying to get it set up.

1) The needlewheel included with the skimmer doesn't fit the Oceanrunner pump.
2) The input/output for the skimmer don't fit the input/ouput of the pump. Do I just need to buy misc parts at HD to get this to fit? I've got one running downstairs in my other tank that connects perfectly. I was under the impression that all the parts would come with it, but that wasn't the case.

Anyone got some insight they can share?

That seems odd. Was the box opened before you got it? Maybe parts were switched out? I would have expected that things would line up perfectly right out of the box.

Where did you get it? Take it back and get one with the right parts. The place you got it should stand behind it.

The only other thing I could think of is maybe you put the pump or the parts on backwards?

Well, at least I'm not as dumb as I felt while trying to get the pieces to fit together.

No big deal - it was a zoo down there. We had fun!

Does the OC pump make that much of a difference. I am using the pump that came with it (aqua bee I think), seems to work, but if there is something that works better...

the aquabee pump that comes with the TF multi is a good pump. the OR is definitely better than the rios that come with the TF1000.

I don't think the Ocean Runner is compatable with the Multi ( HOB ) unit if that's what your referring too as the sump model doesn't come with the Aquabee that I know off.....
