you guys obviously put a lot of effort into hosting and did a great job at that-kudos! and thanks!
the 220 ought to be an awesome tank-i like how you incorporated the big closed-loop sequence pump but were able to spread the flow out with all the loc-line! and i'll keep my ears and ears peeled for a downdraft skimmer.

I wanted to thank Redwinger, Smeese, Spazz, jg24, Reefsitter and Superman for the sweet deals. All generous deals you get from true "Club Member's". We really have a lot of generous people here and I think it shows the best part of our club. It's fun to BS and pass frags and equipment around and drink beer. The tank drilling was cool, even if Paul drilled my tank while I was getting a beer and I never saw it ...And thanks to the guy that brought the drill bit for me to use. He was a first timer and nice enough to let me use his bit.

Sorry Mike, but I am of the opinion that it is best to keep things as simple as possible, especially with a large set up, so less pumps, and less equipment in general is my creed. I don't find it worth the extra 300 dollars for a recirculating verses a well made down draft. But keep in mind that I am running ozone as well as a skimmer, so my skimmer production is coupled the great benefits of ozone which I feel will make up for any short comings that a down draft skimmer may have when compared to a recirculating. (forgive me for the lengthy reply Mike, but I thought that I would explain myself to those that weren't at the meeting when you and I were discussing this subject.)
I do wish to thank everyone for coming and eating lots of food (though I will be eating hot dogs and hamburgers for the next 3 months) Thanks to those that threw in on the keg and food. The turn out and great attitude of the club more than made all the preparation worth it (though most of the preparation was done by my wife) You guys made my month! I can't wait for next September when we'll have the meeting here at my place again. I'm working on getting a special speaker for that meeting, and I am hoping to make "Superman and Supergirl's" meeting THE meeting to go to every year.
I loved talking to everyone and getting to know you all better. I was so happy that we kept the fun going till almost 1:00 am, those of you that left early will know to stay late next year. I can't wait till next year!

Just giving you the biz on the skimmer. Downdrafts are great skimmers. I gotta catch you for the keg, forgot all about it.
