Question

Test kits???


What do you all test for?? I have a test kit for
Nitate,Nitrite,High Range PH,Ammonia
What other test should I have????

I test for Mag, Alk, Ca, and monitor ph.

I own test kits for nitrates, but I never really use them unless things are not looking right in the tank.

Ideally, anything you dose you should test for. I would consider getting Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium test kits.

As for brand, I like Salifert.

i was under the impression that the p04 tests kits tested for the wrong kind of phosphate . something like inorganic and organic , i forget what one we even want to test for : )

*EDIT*

after looking around this morning i think my impression was wrong here . the common tests test for inorganic. It is the organic that's hard to test for and even if you have a accurate test it's hard to interpret into useful information for the average aquarist.
